Anike's first international EPC project is successful
On March 29, 2018, Anike's first international EPC project, Hegang Group's Serbian Steel Plant 2# Blast Furnace 1# hot blast stove was upgraded and put into operation smoothly.
Hegang Group's Serbian steel mill is a Smeday Revo steel mill wholly acquired by Hebei Iron and Steel Group in April 2016. It was established in 1913 and is a century-old metallurgical pillar enterprise in Serbia. The steel plant is designed for annual production capacity. With a production capacity of 2.2 million tons, it was once the only state-owned steel plant in Serbia and was once known as “the pride of Serbia”. Hegang Group's Serbian steel mill has two blast furnaces. Anike upgrades its 2# blast furnace 1# and 2# hot blast stoves, transforming the original internal combustion hot blast stove into an Anike patent – cone-column composite top-burning Hot air stove.
The project will be carried out in two phases. The first phase is the renovation of 1# hot blast stove, which will be started in August 2017 and officially put into operation on March 29, 2018. The second phase, the renovation of 2# hot blast stove, will be launched in April 2018. It was officially put into operation in September 2018. The two hot blast stoves after renovation have been reduced by 7 meters compared with the original hot blast stove, the refractory material has been reduced by 2,500 tons, and the steel structure has been reduced by about 200 tons, which is 1/3 less than the original hot blast stove body and steel structure. The first phase of the project: 2# blast furnace 1# hot blast stove After 240 days of shutdown, demolition, reconstruction, renovation, oven, the new cone-column composite top-burning hot blast stove is widely praised by the owners for its performance and operation. The supply air temperature reaches 1040 ° C, which satisfies the use of 2# blast furnace air temperature.
In this regard, Serbian journals have also reported, the report mentioned: "The 2# blast furnace 1# hot blast stove built from March 11, 1985 to November 27, 1986 has finally renewed, and the hot blast stove has improved after the renovation. Some wind temperatures can make the blast furnace reduce the expensive coke consumption in the production process, so that our products can increase the profits in the international market. The modified hot blast stove is better than energy saving, environmental performance, operation performance, and stable operation of the blast furnace. The original hot blast stove has improved significantly."
As the first foreign EPC contracting project of Anike, this is not only the business behavior of the company, but also an important measure for the company to actively respond to the national “Belt and Road” strategy.
